Shawdon Hall

Auto Entry were requested to provide gate automation and access control to two entrances at Shawdon Hall.

Working with Jim Whitson aka ‘The Blazing Blacksmith‘ of Peebles, we have been able to design a comprehensive system comprising underground operators and a full set of laser based safety devices (LZR’s), integrated discretely into the metalwork of the unique gates.

The customer requested that any automation and safety equipment be as discrete as possible so as not to detract from the beauty of the handmade gates. All cables are contained in galvanised tube which has been incorporated to the overall gate design.

Safety has been achieved by installing a full suite of laser safety devices (x4) as oppose to installing up to a dozen rubber safety edges which would be very visible also.
